About the artist

Texture is how I work things out.

I'm Taylor Williams — an abstract texture artist inspired by nature and the quiet beauty of the earth. My work is about surface: what the earth feels like, what it remembers, what it can hold.

Painting found me during a transitional season — one that asked more of me than I knew I had. It started as a creative outlet, somewhere to put what I couldn't yet say. It's become a meditative practice — a way of slowing down, feeling my way through, and making something honest out of it. There's nothing more satisfying than creating with my hands, and then getting to return that back to people — to bring something into their home that makes it feel more like theirs.

Each piece is meant to be a statement in your home — something that helps a space feel like yours. If I find a piece beautiful, I trust someone else will too — and there's nothing more rewarding than knowing my work has found its way into someone's nest, their safe place, the space they return to.

Every painting begins with the earth itself: limestone, sand, and a modeling paste I create by hand. I build the texture in slow layers, inspired by nature's own quiet, unhurried way of shaping things — then finish in acrylic. No two pieces are alike, and no piece is rushed.
