About the artist

Texture is how I work things out.

I'm Taylor Williams — an abstract texture artist drawn to the quiet language of organic, modern pottery. My work is about surface: what the earth feels like, what it remembers, what it can hold.

Painting found me during a hard season — a stretch of big business changes that asked more of me than I knew I had. It started as a creative outlet, somewhere to put what I couldn't yet say. It's become a meditative practice — a way of slowing down, feeling my way through, and making something honest out of it.

The work I make is meant to be the finishing piece in your home. The thing that pulls an organic modern space together while keeping it grounded, warm, and rooted in the earth.

Every painting begins with raw material: limestone, joint compound, sand, glass microspheres, and a modeling paste I mix by hand. I build the texture in slow layers, then finish in acrylic. No two pieces are alike, and no piece is rushed.
